On December 11, 2024, the official UPSC CDS 1 Notification 2025 PDF for the CDS (I) 2025 Examination for the Course starting in January 2026 will be made available on the official website, www.upsc.gov.in. CDS Application Fee 2025
Except SC/ST female candidates, all candidates have to pay Rs.200 as application fee for this recruitment. The payment can be made online or offline (Net Banking, Mastercard/Debit Cards, Cash Deposit in any SBI Bank branch).

Nationality
To apply for this recruitment, candidates must be a citizen of India, or other country who came to india before 1 Jan, 1962 intention of settling permanent.

Education Qualification
I.M.A. to Officers’ Training Academy and I.M.A.
For Indian Naval Academy– The candidate should have completed their Graduation in Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
For Air Force Academy – Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University (with Physics & Mathematics at the 10+2 Level) or a Bachelor of Engineering.
Age Limit
(i). For IMA-Unmarried men born between 2 July 2001 and 1 January 2006 are only eligible.
(ii). For Indian Naval Academy – Only unmarried male candidates who were born between 2nd July 2001 to 1st January 2006 are eligible.
(iii). For Air Force Academy – between 20 and 24 years old as of 1st July, 2025. Birth b/w 2 July 2001 to 1 July 2005.
Marital Status & Sex
- The Indian Military Academy and Indian Naval Academy only accepts applications from single men.
- Both married and unmarried men are eligible to apply for the Indian Air Force Academy. However, marriage is not allowed during training.
- Unmarried males and females who are interested in the Officer Training Academy can apply to take the CDS Exam.
Physical Standards
The Combined Defence Services Examination I, 2025 requires that candidates meet certain physical standards.
- If the height of any male candidate is less than 157 cm then he will not be selected.
- The height requirement for male candidates in the Navy is 157cm, while that of female candidates is 162.5cm.
- Gorkhas, Garhwal, Kumaon and other candidates from the hills of India’s North Eastern region, their height must be 152 cm tall.
- The minimum height requirement for tribals and extra talented athletes from Andaman & Nicobar and Minicoy Islands, and the Ladhakh region is 155 cm
- Body Mass Index (BMI), which is the measure of body mass, should be less than 25.
- For males, the ratio between waist and hips should be less than 0.8 and for females it should be lower than 0.9.
- The waist circumference for men should not exceed 90 cm and for women, it shouldn’t exceed 80 cm.
