The deadline for those who want to update the data on their Aadhaar cards is June 14. The window for free updates had closed earlier on December 14.
Steps to update Aadhaar details online
- Visit the UIDAI official website to access the Aadhaar Self-Service Portal
- Login using your Aadhaar number, Captcha and OTP sent directly to your mobile.
- Review the details in the document update section.
- Upload the scanned originals of the documents to be verified.
- Note down the service number. You can track your Aadhaar Update request by using the service request number.
Why is updating your Aadhaar card details essential?
You should update your Aadhaar data if any changes need to be made. This will help you avoid problems later. If you have children, keep in mind that you must pay a fee if your child was under the age of 5. You will need to update your biometric record at least twice – once after you turn 5 years old and again after 15 years.
