LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship: Scholarship of Rs 40K/year to 10th and 12th pass students
The Golden Jubilee Scholarship of LIC is designed to give scholarships to students who are economically disadvantaged and have achieved a minimum 60% mark. This will help them to get better employment opportunities as well as higher education.
This scholarship is open to students of the 10th and 12th grades who obtained at least 60% and are currently studying in higher classes. Students from economically weaker sections will be eligible for this scholarship. The deadline for submitting an online application for this scholarship is December 22.
The LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship will provide two types of scholarships. The first scholarship will be General Scholarship for students who have passed 10th and 12th grades.
The second scholarship will be Special Girl Child Scholarship for students who have completed 10th grade. The General Scholarship will cover the full duration of your course, while the Special Girl Scholarship will provide you with a scholarship for two years.
Eligibility for Golden Jubilee Scholarship of the LIC
The scholarship is open to candidates who have completed class 10th in 2022, 2023, or 2024 with a minimum 60% mark and taken admission in their first year of vocational course or diploma in the current academic year 2024-25, and whose family income does not exceed Rs 2,50 lakh.
This scholarship is available to candidates who have completed their 12th grade or diploma with minimum 60% in 2022, 2023, or 2024 and have then taken admission into medicine, engineering or any graduate courses in the current academic year 2024-25, with a family income less than Rs 2,50 lakh.
This scholarship is also available for girls. They must have a minimum of 60% in their class 10th, and be enrolled in a class 12th, vocational, or diploma program in the current academic year 2024-25. The family income should not exceed Rs 2.50 lakh. However, if a widowed or unmarried mother is the only breadwinner, the limit may increase to Rs 4 lakh.
Benefits of this Scholarship
The LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship will provide Rs 20000 per annum to students pursuing a degree in any subject or a diploma, integrated course, professional course, or diploma. The amount will be paid in two equal installments of Rs10000.
The amount of money awarded to candidates for medical studies will be Rs 40,000 per annum, and Rs 30,000 in two installments. A Special Girl Child Scholarship will also provide Rs 15,000 per year for two years. The scholarship money will be directly transferred to the student’s bank account.
