Electric mobility promotion scheme Apply online | EMPS Subsidy: Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme 2024: Subsidy on Electric Vehicle by Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) has announced the implementation of a new scheme aimed at promoting the adoption of electric vehicles in the coming months.
The new e-Mobility Promotion Scheme 2024 (EMPS Subsidy scheme 2024) will allocate Rs 500 crore for a period of four months, starting from April 1 to July 31, 2024. This initiative follows the expiration of the FAME II (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles in India) subsidy programme, which concludes on March 31. The announcement was made by the company, specifying that the new incentive amount will be exclusively available for electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers.
Under EMPS 2024, the government will provide an incentive of Rs 10,000 on every electric two-wheeler. Which will go up to Rs 25,000 per vehicle for small electric three-wheelers (e-rickshaw and e-kart) and Rs 50,000 for large electric three-wheelers. MHI said in a statement that it aims to support around 3.3 lakh two-wheelers and around 31,000 electric three-wheelers with the latest e-mobility scheme. The ministry also clarified that the incentive benefit will be available only to those vehicles fitted with advanced batteries.
The EMPS 2024 provides financial incentives to consumers who purchase electric two- and three-wheelers.
The goal of EMPS 2024 is to assist about 3.33 lakh two-wheelers by providing up to Rs 10,000 in support for each one.
Over 41,000 cars will benefit from up to Rs 25,000 in support for small three-wheelers, such as e-rickshaws and e-carts. Financial assistance for larger three-wheelers could reach up to Rs 50,000.

The government has laid out that a maximum of INR 25000 will be provided as assistance to all those who will acquire small three wheelers such as e rickshaws and ekarts. The incentive will be given to around 41000 vehicles in these four months. The maximum amount of financial assistance for a large three-wheeler is Rs 50,000.
