The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has announced the exam date of PCS Prelims Exam 2024 today. As per the recent announcement, the UPPSC Prelims exam will now be held on December 22.
The UPPSC exam will be conducted in two sessions. Morning session from 9:30 am to 11:30 am and evening session from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
The official notice said, “It is hereby notified that the Combined State/Senior Subordinate Services (Pre.) Examination-2024, which was proposed to be held in two days on December 07 and 08.
The said examination will now be held on 22.12.2024 in two sessions in one day, (First Session- 9:30 am to 11:30 am and Second Session 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm),” the official notice said.
The commission has rescheduled the date of the PCS 2024 preliminary exam for the fourth time. The exam was first scheduled to be held on March 17, then it was postponed to October 26 and 27.
It was later rescheduled for December 7 and 8, but was postponed due to protests that continued for several days in Prayagraj.
The decision comes a day after the state government announced to conduct the PCS preliminary exam in a single shift: one of the key demands of the protesters.
The move comes after Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s intervention, an official said.
Statement of CM Yogi on Pre 2024 Exam
According to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath acknowledged the Prayagraj students’ demand and requested, that the Commission make the required decision by coordinating and communicating with the students regarding, the PCS Preliminary Examination 2024 in a single day.
For the RO/ARO (Pre.) Exam-2023, the Commission has has set up a committee. The committee will soon present its comprehensive report after taking all factors into account.
