The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has created more positions in the Railway Department, including those for Technicians (Grade 1, Grade 3, and Signal). The revised number of vacancies now stands at 14298.
RRB Technician Vacancy (Zone Wise)
Two posts make up the total number of RRB Technician roles. For the Technician Grade 1 (Signal) positions, 1092 openings have been posted. Talking about the present situation, 5154 posts of Railway Technician Grade 3 (Workshop and PU) are vacant, whereas 8052 posts of Technician Grade 3 are vacant. Railway RRB Technician Education Qualification

RRB Technician Age Limit (1/07/2024)
According to the RRB Technician Notification, an RRB Technician must be at least eighteen years old, but the upper age restriction varies.
Age limit for applying to Technician Grade 1 Signal positions is between 18 and 36 years.
Age limit for applying to Technician Grade 3 positions is 18-33 years.

RRB Technician Recruitment 2024 Selection Process
Candidates who wish to apply for the RRB Technician Recruitment in 2024 should be familiar with the stages of selection that they will need to pass before being hired. The process for selection of candidates in RRB Technician will consist of three stages. Candidates will first have to clear the computer based examination test. After the CBT round, the selected candidates will be called to the Document Verification and medical examination.

Although there will be 100 questions and 100 marks on the computer-based test, Grade 1 Signal and Grade 3 have various sections, exam formats, and marking schemes. Both the Grade 1 signal and Grade 3 jobs have access to the comprehensive RRB Tech Exam Pattern 2024.
Exam Pattern of RRB Technician Grade 1 CBT 2024

No marks will be deducted for those questions which the candidate does not answer. If the candidate gives wrong answer to any question then 1/3 marks will be deducted for that.

The duration of the Computer Based Test programme will be 90 minutes.
Salary Structure for the post of RRB Technician 2024
Candidates appointed to Technician posts receive a monthly wage, an allowance and other benefits. The salary for Signal Technician Grade 1 posts is Rs. The salary for the Technician Grade 1 Signal posts will be Rs. 29,200/-, and that of the Technician grade 3 posts is Rs. 19,900/-. 19,900 as pay level 2.
