Karnataka Public Service Commission released an announcement regarding the KPSC KAS Prelims Exam 2024. Prelims will take place on the 27th of August 2024. It will be conducted in two sessions across various centers. T
he annual exam is used to select candidates for the Gazetted Probationer Groups ‘A” and ‘B”. This involves a comprehensive evaluation process to determine their eligibility for the respective roles.
The total number of vacancies is 384, which includes both Group A and B. Karnataka Administrative Services Exam (KAS) is organized by the KPSC to fill the Gazetted Probationer Posts within the Karnataka Government. The selection process will include preliminary exams, the main exam, and an interview.
The prelim exam is divided into 2 papers: Paper 1 from 10am to 12pm and Paper II from 2pm to 4pm. KPSC KAS admit card 2024 will be available 7 to 8 days prior to the date of the prelims exam. Exam Schedule
The KPSC KAS Exam for 2024 is scheduled to take place on the 27th of August 2024. The examination will have two papers, and be held in two different shifts the same day. Paper 1, covering General Studies and Humanities is scheduled from 10am to 12pm.

Exam Pattern for KPSC Exam
KPSC KAS Exam will consist of three stages, which are: Preliminary, Mains and Interview. It will be mandatory for the candidates to qualify the preliminary examination to participate in the selection process. The test consists of two papers, both conducted offline. The exam consists of two papers. Both papers 1 and 2 are objective questions that assess the candidates’ knowledge across different subjects.
- The maximum marks for both papers is 200.
- In this exam, the candidate will get 2 marks for every correct answer.
- For each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks are deducted.
- Each paper is 2 hours long.
