AFCAT 1 Eligibility Criteria
The Indian Air Force has set eligibility criteria, which include nationality, age and educational requirements, as well as medical standards. The age criteria for the AFCAT exam is very important to prospective candidates. The age requirement to apply for AFCAT 1 is 20 years. Maximum age is 26 years. Moreover only unmarried applicants are eligible to take the exam.

Minimum Age for AFCAT: Candidates must be 20 years of age or older.
AFCAT Flying Branch: Candidates should be between the ages of 20 and 24 as of July 1, 2020.
AFCAT Ground duty branches Age: As of July 1, 2025, the age range is between 20 and 26 years.
AFCAT Holders of Commercial Pilot Licences: There are age restrictions for commercial pilots with a valid license. They can be as young as 26 years.

Education: Postgraduate degree with 60% marks in graduation.
