Eligibility Criteria Insurance Medical Officers Recruitment 2024-25
ESIC IMO 2024 eligibility criteria will be based upon the nationality, age, and educational qualifications of the applicants. The candidate must be an Indian citizen, a Nepali, Bhutani or Tibetan refugee, who arrived in India before 1st Jan 1962, with the intention to permanently settle there. Before applying for ESIC IMO Recruitment 2024, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria based on these parameters.
Age Limit
Below are the age criteria for the post IMO for candidates who took the Combined Medical Services Examination in 2022 or 2023.

Age Reduction: Age Relaxation will be given to candidates who belong to SC/ ST/ OBC/Ex-Servicemen and other categories of people as per the rules of the Government of India. According to the Central Government of India’s orders, the upper age limit can also be relaxed by up to five years for government employees and Employees State Insurance Corporation employees.
Education Qualification
- The Indian Medical Council Act (102 of 1956) includes a recognized MBBS qualification in either the First Schedule, Second Schedule, or Part-II Third Schedule (others than licentiate degrees). The Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102/1956) stipulates that holders of Part II of Third Schedule educational qualifications must also meet the conditions set out in section 13 sub-section (3).
- Completion of Compulsory Rotating Internship. Candidates who have not completed rotating internships are eligible to apply, provided they have satisfactorily finished the mandatory internship before being appointed.
