Candidates must take the Physical Standards Tests (PST) and Physical Efficiency Tests (PET) after submitting accurate online applications in every way. Any candidate who exhibits any physical abnormalities that the selection committee’s medical officer can find will not be allowed to take the remaining tests.
Preliminary Verification of Documents
All original documents and a set of photostat copies of the documents must be examined before the candidate is permitted to appear in the PST and PET based on the eligibility requirements outlined above. A notice of rejection outlining the grounds for the rejection will be sent to applicants who are turned down. If the candidate provides false information or falsified documents at any point, he will be disqualified and could face criminal charges.
A candidate’s original documents may also be examined at any point during the hiring process. Any photostat that candidates submit must be accompanied by a properly attested copy. To prevent manipulation later on, the Chairman or a member of the Selection Board must sign each copy of the document at the time of PST and PET, especially caste certificates and any other documents with marks.

Assam Police Grade 4 Admit Card Released: Physical Standard Test
The candidates must take the Physical Standard Test (PST) after all the documents have been verified as accurate. There are no marks on it. PST involves using the most up-to-date technology to measure candidates’ height, weight, and chest (only males’ chests are measured). Following this, preliminary examinations will be conducted to check for physical deformities, knock knee, vision and color blindness, flat feet, varicose veins, and other conditions. A candidate must then take the PET (Physical Efficiency Test) after passing the PST.
Physical Efficiency Test
The following are included in the PET: Race: The following are the minimal requirements to be eligible for the Physical Efficiency Test based on race.
Gender | Distance | Time |
Male | 3200 Metres | 14 Minutes |
Female | 1600 Metres | 08 Minutes |

Gender | Distance | No. of Chances |
Male | 335 cm | 3 |
Female | 244 cm | 3 |
Chin Up (Male): The following is the mark distribution for male candidates.
No. of Chin Ups | Marks |

Just because they met the minimal requirements in the PST and PET does not give candidates the right or claim to take the written exam.
Merit lists for each category according to vacancies will be created after all candidates have completed the PST and PET. This is done by converting the total PET scores into a percentage.
Candidates will be called for the written exam five (five) times the number of posts allocated for each category, based on their merit.
Written Test
There will be 100 multiple-choice questions on the written exam, which must be completed on an OMR answer sheet. The candidate receives half a mark for each right response. Class IX and X level questions will be asked. The written test will have a total score of 50. No negative marking will be applied. The written exam question paper will be available in Bengali, English, Bodo, and Assamese.
The subjects to be covered will be as follows:
# Basic math skills
#General English
