Maharashtra RTE Result 2025-26

The official schedule for the RTE lottery results for the 2025–26 academic year in Maharashtra has been announced. The lottery result for the Maharashtra RTE 25% admission will be published on May 1, 2025, while the first merit list is set to be released on May 8, 2025. This year, the authority will provide up to four waiting lists, with the RTE admission process through the fourth waiting list concluding on June 6, 2025. The online admission process for RTE Maharashtra for the 2014-15 academic year incorporates a lottery system for school placements, which is currently in a provisional phase. This lottery is specifically conducted for schools that have received more applications than their designated intake due to the 25% reservation policy.

Results Process

All eligible candidates are considered for placement in their preferred schools without exceptions following the allocation. Candidates who have applied to multiple institutions may be assigned to all their choices or a lesser number, depending on the total number of applications submitted. Priority in the allocation process is given to candidates residing within a 1 km radius of the school, followed by those living within a 2-3 km radius of their chosen institutions. After filling positions for candidates in the 1 km radius, any remaining vacancies will be filled through a lottery for those in the 2-3 km radius.

How are the Maharashtra results announced?

The physical lottery is conducted in an auditorium, utilizing a set of bowls corresponding to the highest number of applications received for any participating school. For instance, if the school with the most applications has received 599, three bowls will be utilized for the lottery selection. During the lottery, a parent or participant will sequentially draw chits with numbers from each bowl, including the last digit, the second-to-last digit, and the third-to-last digit. If no chit is drawn for the third-to-last digit, a value of zero or null will be considered applicable for that position. The selection of chits from the bowls occurs simultaneously and consecutively in the auditorium.
