PM Awas Yojana: Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scheme, the applicant must be an Indian citizen and should not already have a pucca house in his or her name or in the name of any of his family members. The annual income of the applicant should also be within the prescribed limit, such as ₹3 lakh for EWS, ₹3-6 lakh for LIG, ₹6-12 lakh for MIG-I and ₹12-18 lakh for MIG-II. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G) aims to provide permanent housing to the people of economically weaker sections in rural areas. This subsidy is 6.5% for EWS and LIG , while for MIG-I and MIG-II it is 4% and 3% respectively.
