Indian Air Force released the notification of AFCAT 1-2025 for 336 vacancies in various branches. Interested applicants can register through the official website. Online applications are open between 2nd December and 31st December.
This recruitment is for the January 2026 batch. It covers vacancies in both the Flying Branch (Technical & Non-Technical Branch) and Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical Branch).

AFCAT 01/2025 Batch Recruitment 2024 Overview
AFCAT is a level-one exam that the Indian Air Force (IAF), which recruits commissioned officers, conducts at a national level. AFCAT 1 Eligibility Criteria
The Indian Air Force has set eligibility criteria, which include nationality, age and educational requirements, as well as medical standards. The age criteria for the AFCAT exam is very important to prospective candidates. The age requirement to apply for AFCAT 1 is 20 years. Maximum age is 26 years. Moreover only unmarried applicants are eligible to take the exam.

- Minimum Age for AFCAT: Candidates must be 20 years of age or older.
- AFCAT Flying Branch: Candidates should be between the ages of 20 and 24 as of July 1, 2020.
- AFCAT Ground duty branches Age: As of July 1, 2025, the age range is between 20 and 26 years.
- AFCAT Holders of Commercial Pilot Licences: There are age restrictions for commercial pilots with a valid license. They can be as young as 26 years.

You can use these steps to apply for the AFCAT 1 2025 notification online if you’re having trouble.
Step 1. Registration
- First of all the candidates have to visit the official portal.
- Tap on the ” Register a new user” Hyperlink.
- Register yourself by entering your mobile number or email address.
- You will receive an OTP to the mobile number or email you have registered. Enter the One Time Password, and then press ” Submit”.
- A Login ID will be sent via email and mobile to the registered mobile number.
Step 2: Login to the application and submit it
