10,700 posts for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and 42,780 in the Non-Reserved Category (UR). There are 1,140 posts in the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category and 17,000 in the Scheduled Caste (SC) category.
There are 19,210 posts in the Extremely Backward Class (EBC) category. There are 12,850 in the Backward Class (BC) category, among them 56 transgender applicants.
In addition, 3,275 posts are listed under the Backward Class Women (BCW) category and overall There are 1,06,955 posts in all categories.

What Comes Next? Get ready for the PET
The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will now be required of candidates who passed the written exam. A separate schedule for the PET will soon be made public by the CSBC.
Those who pass the written exam and are deemed suitable for the following round must take and pass the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The PET will be subject to the terms and restrictions outlined in advertising number 01/2023. The conditions and guidelines outlined in the advertisement’s specified procedure must be adhered to.
Details on the PET’s date, time, and location will be posted on the Commission’s website.
When the date has been decided, PET admit cards will be visible on the Commission’s internet portal, https://csbc.bihar.gov.in. It has been made clear that no admit card will be mailed and that failing to have one will prevent you from taking the test.
