Maharashtra Class 10 Exam 2025 According to reports, Maharashtra State Council for Educational Research and Training has reduced the passing mark for Maths and Science in the class 10 board exam. The board will lower the passing marks for Maths and Science from 35 to 20, so that students can be considered to have passed both subjects. The new State Curriculum Framework – School Education (SCF-SE) for Class 10 has taken the decision to lower the pass marks.

The board will still pass the students, despite their lower grades, but will deny them higher education in Maths or Science. The students’ certificates will say ‘Pass’, but they will not be allowed to take Maths and Science in class 11 or higher education.Students who scored lower marks can now move up to a higher class with a note that indicates their lower marks or retake the test to improve.
Reduce the minimum passing marks for Maths, Science and Humanities to reduce dropout rates among students who do not achieve the minimum in class 10 exams.
