Manipal MET 2025: Key Dates, Eligibility & Exam Pattern for BTech Programs

The Manipal Entrance Test (MET) is an examination carried out by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) for university-level admissions. The MET 2025 is an admission test conducted to select and screen aspirants who can be enrolled in undergraduate studies, primarily in engineering from the Manipal Institute of Technology and Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology. The test comprises objective multiple choice questions and is aimed to test the knowledge in areas of Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) organizes the Manipal Entrance Test (MET) each year to admit candidates into its affiliated campuses. Candidates can use their MET scores to apply for BTech programs at several institutions, including the Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal University Jaipur, Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology, and Manipal Institute of Technology, Bengaluru. The MET is conducted as a computer-based test at multiple centers, where candidates will answer objective multiple-choice questions.

MET 2025 Application Form

  • The application form for MET 2025 has been made available and is available for download on the website, manipal.edu
  • Candidates who wish to appear for the same can apply till March 15, 2025. Some of the steps of the application process are as follows
  • Registration: One needs to get registered by furnishing an email address and phone number and creating a login ID and password.
  • Form filling after login: Candidates have to fill in personal, academic, and contact details wherein they should option for their preferred course and test center.
  • Document Upload: Uploading the latest photograph and signature based on given instructions
  • Application Fee Payment: The applicant has to pay INR 600 through net banking or debit/credit card. In case of payment of application, it would not be processed.
  • Final Submission: After the verification of all details, the candidates can submit their application. All information should be verified since no correction facility would be available after submission.

Eligibility Criteria MET 2025

A candidate should have the required educational qualification to be eligible for MET 2025.

  • For BTech Programs: The candidate must have 10+2, A-Level, IB, or equivalent qualification with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of the optional subjects-Chemistry/Biotechnology/ Biology/Technical Vocational subjects with a minimum overall score of 50%.
  • For Lateral BTech: Applicants should hold a Three-year Diploma in Engineering/BSc degree from a reputed university with at least 45% marks with Mathematics at the 12th level.

MET 2025 Test Pattern and Syllabus

The MET 2025 would be a computer-based test in two phases and an aspirant can opt for both phases if desired. This exam will comprise four sections, namely, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English adding up to 60 questions. For each right answer, the marks assigned are 4. If there is an incorrect attempt then it carries a mark deduction of 1 mark except the Numerical Answer Type, wherein no mark is deducted for a wrong answer.

The syllabus for the test would be exactly the same as in Class 12 standards for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The students must look up the syllabus well in advance and chalk out the most efficient plans of study.

  • Issue Date of Application Form: 14 October 2024
  • Last Date of Submission of Form: 15 March 2025
  • Date of issue of Admit Card: April 2025
  • Exam Dates: The final week of April and May 2025.
  • Result Declaration: June 2025
  • Guidance Begins: June 2025
