NEP 2020: UGC has set a target to implement the new National Education Policy 2020 in 50 percent, of the universities and colleges of the country by the year 2035. UGC Chairman Dr. M Jagdish Kumar has said, that under the new National Education Policy 2020, efforts are also being made to implement the universal semester system by eliminating the annual examination system.

M Jagdish Kumar said this at the School of Economics of Devi Ahilya University in Indore. He was participating in the zonal conference here on Monday. In the program, he discussed many issues ranging from the effective implementation of the new National Education Policy. During this, he said that implementing the semester system, under NEP is a priority. The benefit of this will be that by conducting examinations and getting results in a short time, it will be seen what is the level of education of the children.

Target to implement NEP in 50 percent colleges

M Jagdish Kumar said that the target is to implement the new National Education Policy in 50 percent of the universities and colleges of the country by the year 2035. Currently this education policy is implemented in 21 percent of the colleges.
