OSSC LTR Teacher Vacancy 2024
OSSC has notified a total of 6025 vacancies, along with 1988 vacancies, are reserved for women candidates only. A fraction of vacancies are also reserved for the candidates who belong to the SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-Servicemen. A total of 2639 vacancies are available on the posts of TGT Arts out of which 1984 are for men and 655 are for women. A total of 1357 vacancies are available on the posts of TGT Science PCM out of which 1020 are for men and 337 are for women. A total of 1170 vacancies are available on the posts of TGT Science CBZ out of which 880 are for men and 290 are for women. A total of 946 vacancies are available on the posts of Hindi Teacher out of which 711 are for men and 235 are for women. A total of 970 vacancies are available on the posts of Sanskrit Teacher out of which 729 are for men and 241 are for women. A total of 7 vacancies are available on the posts of Telugu Teacher out of which 6 are for men and 1 is for women. A total of 18 vacancies are available on the posts of Urdu Teacher out of which 14 are for men and 4 are for women. A total of 906 vacancies are available on the posts of PET out of which 681 are for men and 225 are for women.
OSSC LTR Teacher Recruitment 2024: Important Dates
The official notification for the LTR Teacher Recruitment 2024 came out on the official website of OSSC on the 22nd of October 2024. The registration window for recruitment will open on the 30th of October, 2024, and will close on the 29th of November, 2024. The application window for recruitment will open from the 30th of October 2024 to the 2nd of December 2024. The exam dates will be announced soon on the official website of OSSC. The applications will be accepted in online mode only.
OSSC LTR Teacher Eligibility Criteria 2024
Apart from being Indian and a domicile of Orissa, the candidates must be between the ages of 21 and 38 years. The upper limit can be extended up to 5 years in the case of women or candidates belonging to SEBC/ST/SC and 10 years for PwD. The educational qualification the candidates must possess before application, depending on the posts they are applying for, is given below.
Orissa Leave Training Reserve Teacher Education Qualification and Age limti
TGT: To apply for the recruitment on the posts of TGT, the candidate must be a graduate with at least 50% marks in BEd, 3 years integrated BEd-MEd from an organization recognised by the NCTE, or 4 years integrated BA-BEd from an organization recognised by the NCTE.
Hindi Teacher: To apply for the recruitment on the post of Hindi Teacher, the candidate must be a graduate with at least 50% marks from a recognised university with Hindi as an elective, optional, pass, or honours subject, or graduated from a recognised university with an aggregate of 50%
Sanskrit Teacher: To apply for the recruitment on the post of Sanskrit Teacher, the candidate must be a graduate with at least 50% marks from a recognised university with Sanskrit as an elective, optional, pass, or honours subject. The minimum percentage requirement is relaxed for those belonging to reserved categories.
Telugu Teacher: To apply for the recruitment post of Telugu Teacher, the candidate must be a graduate with 50% marks and have a BEd/BA-BEd Telugu degree from an NCTE-recognised university
Urdu Teacher:- To apply for the recruitment the posts of Urdu Teacher, the candidate must be an Alim or Fazil with 50% marks BEd/Urdu BEd from a university recognised by NCTE or BA Persian with 50% marks and BEd/BEd Urdu degree from NCTE recognised university.
PET: To apply for the recruitment on the posts of PET, the candidate must have completed 10+2 from a recognised university along with a degree in CPEd/BPEd/MPEd from a recognised university.
The candidates who intend to apply for the posts of TGT, Hindi Teacher, Sanskrit Teacher, Telugu Teacher or Urdu Teacher, may expect a salary of INR 35,000/- and those applying for PET may expect a salary of INR 29,200/-.
OSSC LTR Teacher Exam Pattern 2024
The process of recruitment of LTR teachers by the OSSC will be conducted in three phases. The first stage is a preliminary examination which will be MCQ-based and will have 100 questions carrying one mark each. There is a provision for negative marking so the 0.25 marks will be deducted on every wrong answer. The question paper will be divided into 5 sections, the first one being General Studies having 30 questions, second one being Arithmetic having 20 questions, the third one being Logical Reasoning having 20 questions, fourth one being Internet Awareness having 20 questions, and the last one being Current Affairs having 10 questions.
