The SSC CHSL examination is conducted in two stages, called (Tiers). Registration and communication are done online via the official SSC CHSL website. Before being selected, candidates must pass each of the SSC CHSL stages.
In order to hire candidates for different Ministries, Departments, and Organizations of the Government of India, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) administers the SSC CHSL tests every year. SSC CHSL is the acronym for the Staff Selection Commission Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam.

SSC CHSL Notification 2024 released publicly
SSC CHSL Notification 2020 has been released on www.ssc.gov.in for the recruitment of 3712 vacancies in Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretaryariat Assistant(JSA), and Data Entry Operator (DEO). The official recruitment notification has been released as a pdf file, so candidates can download it directly from this page when it is released. Here is a snippet of the short notice.
The SSC CHSL Notification of 2024 also includes the dates for online application for SSC CHSL exam 2024. Candidates must apply during the month-long online application period, which runs from 8th April 2024 to 7th MAY 2024 (11pm). Online registration is conducted on https://ssc.gov.in/.
SSC CHSL 2024 Application Fee
The application fee for SSC CHSL 2020 is Rs. 100/- 100/-
Exemptions: Female candidates, SC/ST, physically handicapped, and ex-servicemen are not required to pay.
Eligibility Criteria for the SSC CHSL Exam
For a candidate to be eligible for 2024’s SSC CHSL, they must meet three important eligibility requirements. These three parameters are:
Nationality Candidature requires:
(a) A citizen of India or (b), a subject from Nepal or Bhutan or (c) A Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before 1st Jan 1962 to settle permanently in India or (d) A person of Indian descent who has permanently settled in India after migrating from Pakistan, Burma and Sri Lanka.
SSC CHSL Age Limit for candidates (as on 01/08/2024)
The maximum age for SSC CHSL is 18-27. Candidates who were born between 02-08-1997 – 01-08 2006 are eligible. The maximum age for each category is listed below.
Educational Qualification (as on 01/08/2024)
Candidates who intend to take the CHSL 2024 exam must have completed their 12th grade from an accredited Board or University in order to be eligible for LDC/JSA, DEO/DEO grade ‘A’, and DEOs (apart from DEOs employed by Departments or Ministries).
For the Ministry of Culture, Food & Public Distribution, and Consumer Affairs’ Data Entry Operator (DEO)/DEO Grade “A”: graduated from a recognized board with a 12th grade diploma in science with mathematics as a subject.

It is important that you are aware of the changes to the SSC CHSL exam pattern and syllabus before beginning your preparation. Below are the modifications made to SSC CHSL Exam Pattern 2024:
Online examination is being used for the SSC CHSL 2020 Tier 1 exam.
In 60 minutes, write a 100-mark descriptive paper using pen and paper.
The time limit for Tier -I examinations has been reduced from 75 minutes down to 60 minutes.
Objective multiple-choice, typing, and skill tests are all part of Tier II.
This will be an online objective test. The Tier 1 SSC CHSL Exam has 4 sections, each with 100 questions. This totals 200 marks. Below are the details of each subject:

SSC CHSL 2024 Syllabus
The SSC CHSL Exam 2024 tier 1 syllabus includes four subjects namely General Intelligence (General Awareness), Quantitative Aptitude, English Language (Basic Knowledge). Topics to be covered in the tier one exam for each subject are as follows:
English language: Spot-the-Error, Fill-in-the-Blanks, Synonyms/Homonyms Antonyms Spellings/Detecting mis-spelled words Phrases and Idioms One word substitution Improvement of Sentences Active/ Passive voice of verbs, Conversion to Direct/Indirect narration, Shuffle of Senten
General Intelligence This test would have questions that were both verbal and not-verbal.Symbolic/numerical analogy, trends, and semantic analogy and symbolic operations will all be covered in the test. It may also include questions about Venn Diagrams and Symbolic/ Number Classification.
General awareness: questions are designed to test a candidate’s general knowledge of the environment and its impact on society. The questions are designed to test the candidate’s knowledge of current affairs and everyday observations and experiences in their scientific aspect. Questions will be asked about India and its neighbouring nations, especially in relation to History, Culture and Geography. Economic Scenes, General Policy and Scientific Research are also included.
Important Points:
The SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam has negative marking. In all sections, a wrong answer will result in a penalty of 0.5%.
Candidates with visual impairments can take the exam for 75 minutes.

The SSC website will provide a link to download the e-admit cards/hall tickets/call letters for all candidates who register within the specified time period. First, the admit cards for CHSL Tier-1 will be released. Then the admit cards for CHSL Tier-2 (administered only to those who qualified for Tier 1 exam) will follow.
