Mahavitran released the vacancy notice on December 29, 2023, inviting applications for the post of Diploma Engineer Trainee in Civil and Distribution Categories. Candidates selected as Diploma Engineers via this recruitment notice would join as Trainee Engineers for one year. The MAHADISCOM Trainee Diploma Engineer Recruitment Notification
The MAHADISCOM released the recruitment notice in December 2023. The applications for this position are now closed, but individuals who want to apply for this post in the future should read it to prepare for this recruitment whenever the vacancies are released.
Candidates should be at most 30 years old. Specific categories of individuals get an extension in the upper age limit, as mentioned below;
Candidates from backward classes and EWS categories get an upper age limit of 35 years.
Ex-servicemen get an upper age limit of 45 years.
Sport-persons get an upper age limit of 35 years.
Persons with Disability get an upper age limit of 45 years.
Orphans get an upper age limit of 35 years.
Departmental candidates: candidates who are employees of MSEDCL have an upper age limit of 57 years.
Educational Qualifications
Candidates for the Trainee Diploma Engineer Distribution post must have a Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
Candidates for the Trainee Diploma Engineer Civil post must have a Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Candidates who have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil/ Electrical Engineering can also apply for these positions only if they have a Diploma degree before the Bachelor’s Degree.
Domicile and Language
Candidates should be residents of Maharashtra. They need to have a domicile certificate from Maharashtra.
Candidates should know how to read, write and speak Marathi. They should have a Class 10/ 12/ College level certificate with Marathi as one of the languages.
Alternatively, they can get a certificate from a College or University Professor of Marathi stating that the candidate can read, write and speak Marathi. The college principal should countersign this certificate.

Open Category Applicants have to pay Rs. 500 + GST.
Reserved Category and Orphan Applicants have to pay Rs. 250 + GST.
Ex-servicemen and Persons with disabilities do not have to pay any application fee.
Salary Of MAHADISCOM Diploma Engineer
Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs. 18000 pm on selection for the training period of one year.
After this one-year training period, candidates will become Junior Engineers with a pay scale of Rs. 37340-1675-45715-1740-63115-1830- 103375.
MAHADISCOM Diploma Engineer Test (DET) 2024 – Exam Date and Marking Scheme
The MAHADISCOM DET exam will take place on October 22, 2024, for Diploma Engineer – Civil and on October 23, 2024, for Diploma Engineer – Distribution.
The exam will be for two hours and will be 150 marks. Each incorrect answer will result in a deduction of one-fourth of the allotted marks for the question.
Unattempted questions do not have negative grading.
MAHADISCOM Diploma Engineer Test (DET) 2024 – Syllabus
The exam will have questions on the following;
The Test of Professional Knowledge will have 50 questions and carry 110 marks.
The Test of Reasoning will have 40 questions for 20 marks.
The Test of Quantitative Aptitude will have 20 questions for 10 marks.
The Test of Marathi Language will have 20 questions for 10 marks.
The exam will be in English, except for the Marathi language test.
MAHADISCOM Diploma Engineer Test (DET) 2024 – Admit Card
MAHADISCOM will inform candidates via sms and email about the release of the admit card. Candidates should also visit the discom’s website for further updates about the admit card. Once they download the admit card, candidates should affix their photographs and check all the details mentioned, such as the exam centre and all other particulars.
The MAHADISCOM has announced the DET Exam Date. This recruitment is a golden opportunity for applicants to secure a government job. After the initial one-year contract, the trainer Diploma Engineers will become regular Junior Engineers in MAHAVITRAN with all the benefits.
